Recent Advances in Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 48, December 3, 2025.
Ubiquitous defects predominately account for photo‐instability and open‐circuit voltage losses in wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells (WBG PSCs). This review comprehensively presents the underlying impact mechanisms, summarizes the advanced optimization strategies across various functional layers and their interfaces to develop efficient and stable WBG

Building‐Tailored Hierarchical Electrochromism with Optimized Control Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 47, December 18, 2025.
This study addresses the material‐application disconnect in electrochromic smart windows by establishing a building‐centric paradigm. It develops a Prussian blue (PB)‐based electrochromic device (ECD) with four spectral states via dual mechanisms, and proposes two control strategies.

Unlocking Zero‐Carbon Buildings via Solid‐State Energy Storage Wallboards Enabled by Superionic Oriented Layered Magnesia‐Cement Electrolytes

open access: yesCarbon Energy, Volume 7, Issue 12, December 2025.
Schematic of OLMC/PAM‐based CSESWs integrated with distributed photovoltaic systems for zero‐carbon buildings. The composite solid electrolytes proposed in this study are designed by creating novel OLMC architectures, where PAM gel electrolytes are incorporated into the oriented interlayers and act as the fast ion transport medium.

Cost‐Effective Paraffin Particles‐Based Thermochromic Composites for Smart Windows and Greenhouses

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 6, Issue 10, October 2025.
Polymer nanocomposite films undergo thermally induced transparent‐to‐opaque transition through the refractive index matching/mismatching between the embedded paraffin particles in their solid and liquid states and the polymer matrix. The coatings are highly transparent, show large transmittance modulation, high stability to humidity and UV light ...

Cognitive Theories of Galant Music at the Margins of Experience

open access: yesMusic Analysis, Volume 44, Issue 3, Page 293-339, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Leading cognitive studies of galant music treat schematism as both a device and an ethos. The devices – whether called pre‐fabs, tiles or schemata – undergird a mechanistic and passive ethos of inventiveness. In vision and practice, this constellation of approaches directs inquiry away from a musical depth that one contemplates and towards a ...
