Doxepin kinetics

Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, 1978
The kinetics of doxepin (DOX) hydrochloride were studied in 7 volunteers after the oral administration of 75 mg. Peak plasma concentrations of DOX ranged from 8.8 to 45.8 ng/ml and were reached within 4 hr. The disappearance of DOX was biphasic and followed first‐order kinetics. The mean DOX half life (t½) was 16.8 hr and in individuals ranged from 8.2

Kinetic theory and reaction kinetics

2013
While reaction rates are empirical in nature, collision theory does provide a means to estimate the reaction rate. Collision theory gives rise to the correct reaction rate dependence on concentrations and temperature. Based on collision theory, most viable reactions are bimolecular. Reactions with more than three molecules are unfavorable.

Platelet kinetics

Current Opinion in Hematology, 1997
Platelet survival can be determined with considerable precision using radioisotopic methodologies; however, complications associated with these techniques still catalyze the search for nonisotopic procedures to estimate platelet survival as well as surrogate markers of platelet life span.

Dipyridamole kinetics

Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 1982
The kinetics of the antiplatelet drug dipyridamole were studied in six normal subjects (three men and three women) who were ages 22 to 34 yr old. Each received 20 mg IV and four also took a 50-mg oral dose. Blood samples were collected after each dose for a period of 3 days and concentrations of dipyridamole were measured by a sensitive and specific ...

Buprenorphine kinetics

Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 1980
Buprenorphine kinetics was determined in surgical patients using radioimmunoassay. Buprenorphine was measured in the plasma of 24 patients who had received 0.3 mg buprenorphine intraoperatively. After 3 hr 10 of these patients then received a further 0.3 mg buprenorphine intravenously for postoperative pain relief, and 11 patients were given 0.3 mg ...

4-Aminopyridine kinetics

Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 1982
Nine healthy subjects (7 men; 2 women) received single 20-mg IV injections of 4-aminopyridine (4-AP). Six of the subjects received the same dose in the form of enteric-coated tablets and four the same dose in uncoated tablets; treatments were at least 2 wk apart.
