Significance Statement The chromatin remodeler BRAHMA (BRM) promotes shoot regeneration through epigenetic priming. In callus formation, H3K27me3 at BRM‐primed genes is reduced without transcriptional change, creating a poised state. REF6 and ELF6 demethylases may contribute to this process.
