Kink-like solitons in quantum droplet [PDF]
Abstract Solitonic excitations of the one-dimensional quantum droplets are obtained, which smoothly connect vacuum with the flat-top droplet, akin to compactons in classical liquids. These solitons are of the kink type, necessarily residing on a constant pedestal, determined by the mean-field (MF) repulsion and beyond mean field ...

We study DNA dynamics relying on the plane-base rotator model for DNA. It is shown that this dynamics can be represented by kink and antikink solitons. We demonstrate that two velocities are relevant and these are the velocities of both a double and a single stranded DNA. A key question is which one is bigger as this is related to a value of the ratio

Kink soliton characterizing traffic congestion [PDF]
We study traffic congestion by analyzing a one dimensional traffic flow model. Developing an asymptotic method to investigate the long time behavior near a critical point, we derive the modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation as the lowest order model.

Chirped gap solitons with Kudryashov’s law of self-phase modulation having dispersive reflectivity
The present study is devoted to investigate the chirped gap solitons with Kudryashov’s law of self-phase modulation having dispersive reflectivity. Thus, the mathematical model consists of coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) that describes ...

Exact kink solitons in Skyrme crystals [PDF]
We present an explicit integration of the kink soliton equation obtained in a recent interesting study of the classical Skyrme model where the field configurations are of a generalized hedgehog form which is of a domain-wall type. We also show that in such a reduced one-dimensional setting the first-order and second-order equations are equivalent ...

Infinite soliton and kink-soliton trains for nonlinear Schrödinger equations [PDF]
We look for solutions to generic nonlinear Schr dinger equations build upon solitons and kinks. Solitons are localized solitary waves and kinks are their non localized counter-parts. We prove the existence of infinite soliton trains, i.e. solutions behaving at large time as the sum of infinitely many solitons.

Semiclassical energy density of kinks and solitons
We compute semiclassical corrections to the energy density of kinks in $ϕ^4$ theory and of solitons in the sine-Gordon model in $1+1$ dimensions, using local and covariant renormalization techniques from quantum field theory in curved spacetimes. For the semiclassical correction to the energy, we recover the known results.

A continuum model for solitons in the twisted magnetic liquid crystals
We systematically explore the solitons in the twisted magnetic liquid crystals using a continuum model. Firstly, we derive the dynamic equation of the twisted magnetic liquid crystal sheet under the control of magnetic field.
