This study presents the preliminary evaluation of the clinical, radiographic, and functional outcomes of dual‐plating technique for distal femoral periprosthetic fractures. To our knowledge, this is the first clinical report directly using a distal tibial metaphyseal plate for the dual‐plating technique, highlighting its potential advantages in ...

Biodegradable rods versus Kirschner wire fixation of wrist fractures. A randomised trial
In a prospective trial, biodegradable polyglycolic acid rods were compared with Kirschner wires for fixation of wrist fractures (Frykman types I, II, V and VI). Fifteen patients were randomly assigned to each treatment group.

An extraordinary mechanism causing intraoperative migration of the Kirschner-wire [PDF]
Migration of Kirschner wires (K-wires) postoperatively and with use of cannulated implants intraoperatively is a well-known complication. In this article, we present an extraordinary mechanism causing intraoperative migration of a K-wire.

METACARPAL FRACTURES TREATMENT: COMPARASION BETWEEN KIRSCHNER WIRE AND INTRAMEDULLARY SCREW
Introduction: Metacarpal fractures are common and can be treated surgically using Kirschner wires (K-wires) or intramedullary fixation with compression screws (IMCS).

Abstract Lateral meniscus posterior root tears lead to disruption of hoop tension, elevation of contact pressure, increased knee instability, and accelerated cartilage degeneration of articular cartilage. Anatomical repair is required to re‐establish normal knee biomechanics and to slow the progression of osteoarthritis. A modified transtibial pull‐out
