Empirical Physics‐Based Normal Behavior Modeling of Drive Train Temperatures With High‐Resolution Wind Turbine Operating Data

open access: yesWind Energy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The installed wind energy capacity increases every year. However, operation and maintenance costs still make up a considerable portion of the levelized costs of electricity. This costs can be greatly reduced by the application of suitable early fault detection methods. The supervisory control and data acquisition system of wind turbines is one

Urban peatlands can harbour diverse insect communities but depend on appropriate habitat management

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
Urban peatlands can support high insect diversity, including endangered species and peat bog specialists. Flower diversity boosts endangered species, while succession cover reduces overall insect richness—but bog condition and urbanization showed no major effects.

The Diffusion of Local Administrative Innovation: Investigating Municipal Climate Managers in the State of Hessen in Central Germany

open access: yesPublic Administration Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Many cities and municipalities aim to address climate change, yet their rigid administrative structures often constrain effective action. Therefore, local authorities must innovate to build administrative capacity and enable work across departmental silos. However, we lack knowledge of how such administrative innovations emerge and become more

Integrating food systems into the international climate law and policy framework

open access: yesReview of European, Comparative &International Environmental Law, EarlyView.
Abstract While responsible for nearly one‐third of global greenhouse gas emissions, food systems long remained peripheral to the legal and political architecture of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). This article outlines the policy shifts that have led food systems to become increasingly central to the UNFCCC and its ...

Nachhaltigkeit stärken – Transformationen für den Klimaschutz durch Regionalplanung

open access: yesRaumforschung und Raumordnung
The climate crisis is one of the greatest challenges of the Anthropocene. The goal of Paris-compatible development (climate warming to 1.5°C or well below 2°C) therefore also addresses spatial planning.

The effect of pre‐exercise hyperventilation on repeated high‐intensity inclined sprint performance

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract High‐intensity exercise induces systemic acidosis, which contributes to muscular performance decline. Controlled pre‐exercise hyperventilation has been proposed as a non‐invasive intervention to induce respiratory alkalosis and counteract acidosis‐related acute fatigue.

Intramolecular Matere Bonds in Isostructural Rubidium (18‐Crown‐6) Pertechnetate and Perrhenate Dimers

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 16, 4 June 2026.
Two rubidium cations that are not fully encapsulated by 18‐crown‐6 are bridged by two pertechnetate units to form a dimer. These two pertechnetate units are nearly linearly aligned to each other to form Matere bonds (MaBs), a type of noncovalent σ‐hole interaction.

Why and How Poly(acrylic Acid) Stabilizes and Structures Si/C Supraparticles for Li‐Ion Batteries: Unraveling PAA–Si/C Interactions From Dispersion to Electrode Integration

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 10, 19 May 2026.
In lithium‐ion battery silicon anodes, achieving reliable electrode processing, consistent electrochemical performance, and mechanically stable electrodes remains a challenge. One strategy to overcome these limitations is to assemble silicon–carbon (Si/C) nanoparticles with alloy‐like Si–C bonding into micrometer‐sized secondary particles ...
