Therapeutic Arthroscopy of the Knee
Scottish Medical Journal, 1983Sixty-six patients were reviewed after 70 therapeutic arthroscopy procedures. The procedures carried out included partial meniscectomy, removal of loose bodies, lateral release and synovial plica division. The commonest procedure performed was partial meniscectomy. The 32 patients undergoing arthroscopic meniscectomy were compared with a similar group

Knee Arthroscopy in the Office
Hospital Practice, 1997As the size of equipment has shrunk, the role of the procedure has expanded. Rheumatologists now capitalize on the procedure's capacity for direct visualization and biopsy to diagnose and treat inflammatory and noninflammatory disorders.

Knee Arthroscopy in Children and Adolescents
Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics B, 2001We report a series of 77 skeletally immature patients (41 children aged < or = 13 years and 36 adolescents aged 14-16 years) who underwent knee arthroscopy. The purpose of the study was to assess the accuracy of clinical diagnosis and the value of arthroscopy.

Infection following knee arthroscopy
Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic & Related Surgery, 2001Arthroscopy of the knee is not a risk-free procedure. Although rare, numerous complications have been reported in the literature. Fortunately, infection is a rare complication following arthroscopy, which, when treated, usually results in a benign outcome. We present the first reported case of Candida albicans infection following routine arthroscopy of

MRI-Arthroscopy Correlation: The Knee
Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, 2011MRI findings can often be helpful in diagnosing and managing common knee injuries. The association between the normal and pathologic changes in the surgical anatomy of the knee commonly found on MRI and those found at arthroscopy can be demonstrated by examining a series of cases that correlate MRI and arthroscopy findings.

Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1990
During the past ten years, approximately 3000 cases of knee arthroscopy have been performed in a CO2 medium. The setup for the use of CO2 is quite simple and is explained here on a step-by-step basis. Advantages are a better visual field and no motion of tissue in the arthroscopic field. The disadvantages are minimal.

INTRODUCTION TO THE BASICS OF ARTHROSCOPY OF THE KNEE [PDF]
Knee arthroscopy has benefited greatly over the past 2 decades from new developments in technology and instrumentation. These advances have transformed arthroscopy from a purely diagnostic procedure to one through which extensive and intricate surgery can be performed.

Arthroscopy of the Knee in Children and Adolescents
European Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 1992Arthroscopy of the knee was performed in 104 patients under 18 years of age, 41 in children (aged 8 to 15) and 63 in adolescents (aged 16 to 18). Most frequently lesions of the patella were found (in 45% of all diagnoses in children and 29% in adolescents), in most cases because of acute or recurrent dislocation of the patella.
