Therapeutic Potential of Lipid Nanoparticle‐Encapsulated CD19‐Targeting mRNAs in Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops lipid nanoparticle‐encapsulated mRNA‐encoding antibodies (mRNab‐LNPs) targeting CD19, demonstrating robust anti‐CD19 antibody production in vivo. Intramuscular injection of mRNab‐LNPs reduces CD19+ B and plasma cells in lupus and rheumatoid arthritis mice, significantly alleviating histopathological changes and tissue injuries of ...

Exoskeleton Knee Compliance Improves Gait Velocity and Stability in a Spinal Cord Injured User: A Case Report [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Spinal cord injuries frequently impair the ability to walk. Powered lower limb exoskeletons offer a promising solution to restore walking ability. However, they are currently restricted to even ground. We hypothesized that compliant exoskeleton knees could decrease required effort to maneuver on uneven terrain, and increase gait velocity and stability.

Capacity Estimation and Knee Point Prediction Using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy for Lithium Metal Battery Degradation via Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work explores a machine learning (ML) model with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) data to address two critical challenges in Lithium metal batteries (LMBs): capacity degradation trajectory and knee point (KP) estimation, for the first time.

Cartilage‐Penetrating Framework Nucleic Acid Nanoparticles Ameliorate Osteoarthritis by Promoting Drug Delivery and Chondrocyte Uptake

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on the poor cartilage penetration of tFNA, a novel tFNA‐2WL with excellent cartilage permeability and perfect chondrocyte endocytosis properties is designed and fabricated. As a result, tFNA‐2WL has a nearly seven‐fold increase in the penetration depth into the cartilage, with the same excellent cell entry properties as tFNA.

Highly Stretchable, Self‐Healable, and Conductive Gelatin Methacryloyl Hydrogel for Long‐Lasting Wearable Tactile Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gelatin methacryloyl hydrogel, which possesses high stretchability, tensile strength, toughness, and autonomous self‐healing capability at room temperature, is developed through the introduction of interpenetrating networks, hierarchical hydrogen bonds (weak and strong H‐bonds), and borate ester bonds.

Prediction of Knee Joint Moment by Surface Electromyography of the Antagonistic and Agonistic Muscle Pairs

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In lower-limb rehabilitation equipment, the prediction of the knee joint moment using surface electromyography signals is an important method of motion intention recognition.
