Using partition analysis as a facile method to derive net clearances

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 15, Issue 8, Page 1867-1879, August 2022., 2022
Abstract Partition analysis has been described previously by W.W. Cleland to derive net rate constants and simplify the derivation of enzyme kinetic equations. Here, we show that partition analysis can be used to derive elimination and transfer (distribution) net clearances for use in pharmacokinetic models.

Bacterial growth dynamics and pharmacokinetic–pharmacodynamic relationships of rifampicin and bedaquiline in BALB/c mice

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 179, Issue 6, Page 1251-1263, March 2022., 2022
Background and Purpose Translational efforts in the evaluation of novel anti‐tubercular drugs demand better integration of pharmacokinetic–pharmacodynamic data arising from preclinical protocols. However, parametric approaches that discriminate drug effect from the underlying bacterial growth dynamics have not been fully explored, making it difficult ...

Research Overview on Edge Detection Algorithms Based on Deep Learning and Image Fusion

open access: yesSecurity and Communication Networks, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
Edge detection is a boundary‐based segmentation method to extract important information from an image, and it is a research hotspot in the fields of computer vision and image analysis. Especially feature extraction is also the basis of image segmentation, target detection, and recognition.

Strong-Motions From Damaging Moderate Magnitude (5.9 ≥ Mw) Earthquakes in Japan Recorded by K-NET and KiK-net

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2021
Strong-motions from 79 moderate magnitude (5.9 ≥ Mw) earthquakes that caused various degrees of impact on humans and built-environment in Japan between 1996 and 2019, after the start of K-NET and KiK-net, are presented.

Analytical description of the seismic signals based on the nonorthogonal amplitude-frequency analysis of the smoothed signals [PDF]

open access: yesВестник Камчатской региональной ассоциации "Учебно-научный центр". Серия: Науки о Земле, 2019
The paper presents a new approach to the description of earthquake seismic signals based on the nonorthogonal amplitude-frequency analysis of the smoothed signals (NAFASS) method.

Determination and application of path duration of seismic ground motions based on the K-NET data in Sagami Bay, JapanKey points

open access: yesEarthquake Science, 2022
Duration models are one of the important parameters in ground-motion simulations. This model varies in different study areas, and plays a critical role in nonlinear structural response analysis.

KNET: Integrating Hypermedia and Bayesian Modeling

open access: yesCoRR, 2013
KNET is a general-purpose shell for constructing expert systems based on belief networks and decision networks. Such networks serve as graphical representations for decision models, in which the knowledge engineer must define clearly the alternatives, states, preferences, and relationships that constitute a decision basis.

Distributed archive and single access system for accelerometric event data : a NERIES initiative [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We developed a common access facility to homogeneously formatted accelerometric event data and to the corresponding sheet of ground motion parameters. This paper is focused on the description of the technical development of the accelerometric data server
