Knitted Strain Sensors: Impact of Design Parameters on Sensing Properties
This paper presents a study of the sensing properties exhibited by textile-based knitted strain sensors. Knitted sensors were manufactured using flat-bed knitting technology, and electro-mechanical tests were subsequently performed on the specimens using

Homogenization of heterogeneous, fibre structured materials [PDF]
This contribution presents a multi-scale homogenization method to model fibre structured materials. On the macroscopic level textiles are characterized by a large area-to-thickness ratio, such that a discretization with shell elements is numerically ...

Bio‐templated Piezoresistive Yarn for High Sensitivity Movement Monitoring Textiles
This study developed a conductive coating by biotemplating silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) onto a Potato virus A (PV) particle network, cross‐linked on co‐polyamide‐starch (CoPA‐SS) coils. The combination of CoPA‐SS's shape memory and PV‐AgNP's piezoresistivity achieved high strain sensitivity and minimal hysteresis.

The Effect of Bonded Seams upon Spatial Behaviour of Knitted Materials Systems
Spatial behaviour of knitted materials with bonded seams under biaxial tensile loading is analysed in this work. The objects of the research were plain jersey and rib 1×1 polyester knitted materials with elastane (93 % PES, 7 % EL).

Minimally invasive anatomic liver resection (AR) including major hepatectomy and liver parenchyma‐sparing AR is technically complex and demanding. This systematic review with meta‐analysis including 15 studies comparing 2042 robotic AR and 2129 laparoscopic AR patients demonstrated largely comparable perioperative outcomes and partly better outcomes ...
