Tension–tension fatigue behaviour of knitted fabric composites

open access: yesComposite Structures, 2004
The tension-tension fatigue behaviour of knitted fabric composites has been investigated. The fatigue damage of knitted fabric composites such as matrix cracks and yarn-matrix debonds was initiated from the part of the knitting loop that is perpendicular

Spirality of Knitted Fabrics

Textile Research Journal, 1989
We have investigated spirality in both dry and fully relaxed jersey fabrics produced from a series of relaxed spun yams. From this study, it is clear that spirality depends on feed density, machine cut, and loop shape, but the magnitude of spirality can be offset by the selection of yarn twist direction.

KNITTING METHOD AND KNITTED FABRIC

1998
A knitting method for knitting fabric on a flatbed knitting machine providing especially good shaping possibilities, when the stitches shaping the fabric and having different lengths are carried out crosswise to the direction of knitting. A fabric which is knitted according to the inventive method on a flatbed knitting machine has different stitch ...
