Recent Advances in Laser‐Induced Graphene‐Based Gas Sensors: From Sensing Mechanisms to Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

EFFECT OF YARN STRUCTURE ON MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF SINGLE JERSEY FABRICS [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Oradea: Fascicle of Textiles, Leatherwork, 2018
Knitted fabrics are known to more complex and dimensionally sensitive structures than the woven fabrics. Variations in material, structural, mechanical processing and finishing parameters are bound to significantly influence the mechanical and comfort ...

Self‐Assisted Charge Storage‐Release Mechanism Enabling Flexible Design of Biomimetic Triboelectric Nanogenerators

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the mimosa, this study develops a flexible triboelectric nanogenerator with a novel microneedle array and battery‐mimetic architecture. The device introduces a spontaneous charge self‐regulation mechanism that confines the electric field below the air breakdown threshold, and achieves an outstanding charge density of 396.50 µC m−2 ...

Development of Textile Laminates for Improved Cut Resistance [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineered Fibers and Fabrics, 2010
Mechanical properties of fibres viz. tensile modulus, tenacity, elongation are the key performance indicators of cut resistance besides yarn and fabric structure. p-aramid and UHDPE (Ultra High Density Polyethylene) based high performance fibres are most

Bio‐templated Piezoresistive Yarn for High Sensitivity Movement Monitoring Textiles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed a conductive coating by biotemplating silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) onto a Potato virus A (PV) particle network, cross‐linked on co‐polyamide‐starch (CoPA‐SS) coils. The combination of CoPA‐SS's shape memory and PV‐AgNP's piezoresistivity achieved high strain sensitivity and minimal hysteresis.
