The ball burnishing processes demonstrated a notable reduction of surface roughness, which in turn helps to reduce the formation of wear particles and is reflected in the significantly reduced wear rate. The torsional resistance in the range of micro‐motion (≈2 Nm) can be improved by implementing a ball burnishing process with augmented depth hardness.

Flexural strength and hardness of direct and indirect composites [PDF]
The objective of this study was to evaluate the flexural strength (σf) and hardness (H) of direct and indirect composites, testing the hypotheses that direct resin composites produce higher σf and H values than indirect composites and that ...

Predictive Approaches for 3D‐Printing: Methods and Approaches for Polymeric Materials
3D printing shows great promise, but suffers from a restricted range of materials. We show how computational methods, from physics‐based to data‐driven methods, can streamline the development of new polymer materials. Developing integrated approaches offers future opportunities in autonomous discovery and design, harnessing 3D printing's full potential.

Assessing the Impact of Vegan Toothpastes on Enamel Color Change and Surface Properties
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate color (ΔE00) and whiteness index (ΔWID) changes, surface hardness loss (SHL), roughness (Ra), mineral content, and morphology of enamel brushed with vegan toothpastes. Methods Enamel blocks (n = 10/group) were stained with black tea (T0) underwent 15.000 (T1) and 30.000 (T2) toothbrushing cycles with: (n = 10): (AS ...

Influence of Thickener and Mineral Supplementation of Bleaching Gels on Enamel Demineralization
ABSTRACT Objective This study evaluated the effect of the type of thickener and mineral supplementation of bleaching gels on enamel demineralization. Materials and Methods Enamel specimens were divided into five groups according to the type of thickener: CA‐Carbopol, AE‐Aerosil 200, PO‐Poloxamer 407, GG‐Guar gum, and HEC‐Hydroxyethyl cellulose.
