Knowledge graphs have been widely adopted, in large part owing to their schema-less nature. It enables knowledge graphs to grow seamlessly and allows for new relationships and entities as needed. Knowledge graph has become a powerful tool to represent knowledge in the form of a labelled directed graph and to give semantics to textual information.

Meta Structures in Knowledge Graphs
2017This paper investigates meta structures, schema-level graphs that abstract connectivity information among a set of entities in a knowledge graph. Meta structures are useful in a variety of knowledge discovery tasks ranging from relatedness explanation to data retrieval.

On the ontology of knowledge graphs
1995Knowledge graphs are a special kind of conceptual graphs. They were developed independently from 1982 on and are special in that a very restricted set of types of relationships is used. In this paper the ontology of knowledge graphs and the philosophy behind its choice are discussed.
