FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

Finding Streams in Knowledge Graphs to Support Fact Checking

open access: yes, 2017
The volume and velocity of information that gets generated online limits current journalistic practices to fact-check claims at the same rate. Computational approaches for fact checking may be the key to help mitigate the risks of massive misinformation ...

Evaluation of in vitro toxicity of common phytochemicals included in weight loss supplements using 1H NMR spectroscopy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...

Graph2Seq: Fusion Embedding Learning for Knowledge Graph Completion

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Knowledge Graph (KG) usually contains billions of facts about the real world, where a fact is represented as a triplet in the form of (head entity, relation, tail entity).

Towards Global-Topology Relation Graph for Inductive Knowledge Graph Completion

open access: yesAAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence
Knowledge Graphs (KGs) are structured data presented as directed graphs. Due to the common issues of incompleteness and inaccuracy encountered during construction and maintenance, completing KGs becomes a critical task.

A Shared Ontology Approach to Semantic Representation of BIM Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Architecture, engineering, construction and facility management (AEC-FM) projects involve a large number of participants that must exchange information and combine their knowledge for successful completion of a project.

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Improving Hyper-Relational Knowledge Graph Completion

open access: yes, 2021
Different from traditional knowledge graphs (KGs) where facts are represented as entity-relation-entity triplets, hyper-relational KGs (HKGs) allow triplets to be associated with additional relation-entity pairs (a.k.a qualifiers) to convey more complex information.
