Knowledge-Based Adaptive Identification for Process Control and Modelling

1993
Identification methods mainly based on recursive least-squares algorithms have been well developed in recent years. However, almost all existing identification, control and modelling techniques are completely based upon mathematical computations that cannot thoroughly describe many characteristics of a real physical system such as qualitative features.

Online identification for batch processes in closed loop incorporating priori controller knowledge

Computers & Chemical Engineering, 2016
Abstract It is of great importance to develop an online modeling method for chemical processes operated in closed loop for better understanding, monitoring the process or other purposes without endangering the system. This paper intends to devise an online system identification method, particularly for the batch process, by fully exploiting its ...

A knowledge identification framework for the engineering of ontologies in system composition processes

2011 IEEE International Conference on Information Reuse & Integration, 2011
Recent research has been focused on the creation of intelligent compositional systems that utilize ontologies as a knowledge base to facilitate the composition of new systems/workflows. Within this “ontology-driven” compositional systems field, experts have created knowledge representation models to satisfy requirements of their own domain rather than ...

Summary Research of Risk Identification in the Process of Knowledge Management

2009 Second International Conference on Future Information Technology and Management Engineering, 2009
This paper classifies and concludes the risks existed in knowledge management from a view of identification. It has been divided into two aspects of knowledge assets at risk: the risk of knowledge spillovers, knowledge conversion risk, the risk of wastage, leakage risks, contractual risks, moral hazard from Knowledge and knowledge of risk vector.

The simulation and identification of flotation processes by use of a knowledge based model

International Journal of Mineral Processing, 1992
Abstract This paper illustrates the application of a knowledge based system to perform fault-diagnosis, dynamic simulation and the optimization of batch and continuous flotation processes. The proposed approach is essentially useful to simulate ill-defined dynamic processes where existing fundamental and empirical models fail owing to their lack of ...

Abnormal Event Identification in Nuclear Power Plants Using a Neural Network and Knowledge Processing

Nuclear Technology, 1993
The combination of a neural network and knowledge processing have been used to identify abnormal events that cause a reactor to scram in a nuclear power plant. The neural network recognizes the abnormal event from the change pattern of analog data for state variables, and this result is confirmed from digital data using a knowledge base of plant status
