Solving the kinetic equation for all Knudsen numbers

Sphere Drag at High Knudsen Number and Low Mach Number

Knudsen iteration is used to calculate sphere drag at low Mach and high Knudsen numbers, using the Bhatnager, Gross, Krook model to describe the intermolecular collisions. Comparisons are made with previous approximate calculations and with experiment.
