Tolling, Capacity Selection and Equilibrium Problems with Equilibrium Constraints [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
An Equilibrium problem with an equilibrium constraint is a mathematical construct that can be applied to private competition in highway networks. In this paper we consider the problem of finding a Nash Equilibrium regarding competition in toll pricing on

Electronic Structure Modulation Induced by Asymmetric Cu─Ni Centers in a π‐Conjugated Triazine MOF

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A π‐conjugated H3TATB‐based asymmetric bimetallic CuNi‐MOF was developed as an efficient electrocatalyst for alkaline hydrogen evolution. Benefiting from synergistic Cu–Ni interactions, enhanced charge transfer, and stabilized active sites, CuNi‐MOF delivers superior HER performance with low overpotential, improved kinetics, and 24 h durability.

The synthesis of higher oxides of alkali and alkaline earth metals in an electric discharge: Theoretical and experimental studies [PDF]

open access: yes
Potassium hydroxide was subjected to the products of an electrical discharge sustained in oxygen and produced both potassium peroxide and superoxide. The conversion to higher oxides was shown to strongly depend upon the particle size of KOH, the position

Bioresorbable Mo–W Electrodes: Toward an Extended Operational Lifetime Through Controlled Alloying and Oxide Coating Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Bioresorbable electrochemical sensors face instability in biofluids. Although alloys can mitigate rapid in vivo dissolution, Mo–W remains underexplored for sensing. This work engineers Mo–W films with a nanocrystalline oxide coating, improving stability and enabling reliable oxygen and pH sensing for up to 10 days, highlighting their potential for ...

Molecular Inks for the Development of Complex 3D In‐Mold Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Molecular inks (MINKs) enable the fabrication of thermoformed 3D circuits by decoupling the forming and metallization steps. Following thermoforming, intense pulsed‑light or thermal processing converts the patterned MINKs into complex 3D conductive tracks with improved stretchability and electrical performance, advancing low‑cost, high‑performance in ...

Tunable Extraordinary Optical Transmission in the Long‐Wavelength Infrared Range Using Electrostatic MEMS Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A MEMS‐integrated metamaterial filter enables continuous, low‐voltage spectral tuning in the long‐wavelength infrared (LWIR). The device employs extraordinary optical transmission in a dual suspended metasurface stack, where electrostatic actuation precisely controls the intermembrane air gap.

Micromachined Double‐Membrane Mechanically Tunable Metamaterial for Thermal Infrared Filtering

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2025.
Herein, a mechanically tunable double‐layer plasmonic metamaterial leveraging the extraordinary optical transmission effect observed in subwavelength arrays of openings within thin metal layers is presented. The concept is experimentally validated by integrating the proposed metamaterial structure into an electrostatic parallel‐plate actuator to create

Impedances of electrochemically impregnated nickel electrodes as functions of potential, KOH concentration, and impregnation method [PDF]

open access: yes
Impedances of fifteen electrodes form each of the four U.S. manufactures were measured at 0.200 V vs. the Hg/HgO reference electrode. This corresponds to a voltage of 1.145 for a Ni/H2 cell. Measurements were also made of a representative sample of these
