Eigenvalue Estimates Using the Kolmogorov-Sinai Entropy
The scope of this paper is twofold. First, we use the Kolmogorov-Sinai Entropy to estimate lower bounds for dominant eigenvalues of nonnegative matrices. The lower bound is better than the Rayleigh quotient.

Entropy production of a closed Hamiltonian system via the detailed fluctuation relation
We revisit the problem of emergent irreversibility in a closed Hamiltonian system in light of the detailed fluctuation relation by invoking an imperfect Loschmidt demon that performs a time-reversal operation with a finite precision.

A General Symbolic Approach to Kolmogorov-Sinai Entropy
It is popular to study a time-dependent nonlinear system by encoding outcomes of measurements into sequences of symbols following certain symbolization schemes.

Statistical optimization for passive scalar transport: maximum entropy production versus maximum Kolmogorov–Sinai entropy [PDF]
We derive rigorous results on the link between the principle of maximum entropy production and the principle of maximum Kolmogorov–Sinai entropy for a Markov model of the passive scalar diffusion called the Zero Range Process.

Synchronization and information transmission in networks
The amount of information produced by a network may be measured by the mutual information rate. This measure, the Kolmogorov-Sinai entropy and the synchronization interval are expressed in terms of the transversal Lyapunov exponents ...

Logical Entropy and Logical Mutual Information of Experiments in the Intuitionistic Fuzzy Case
In this contribution, we introduce the concepts of logical entropy and logical mutual information of experiments in the intuitionistic fuzzy case, and study the basic properties of the suggested measures. Subsequently, by means of the suggested notion of

Logical entropy of quantum dynamical systems
This paper introduces the concepts of logical entropy and conditional logical entropy of hnite partitions on a quantum logic. Some of their ergodic properties are presented.

A Dynamical Systems-Based Hierarchy for Shannon, Metric and Topological Entropy
A rigorous dynamical systems-based hierarchy is established for the definitions of entropy of Shannon (information), Kolmogorov−Sinai (metric) and Adler, Konheim & McAndrew (topological).

Is Turbulence a State of Maximum Energy Dissipation?
Turbulent flows are known to enhance turbulent transport. It has then even been suggested that turbulence is a state of maximum energy dissipation.

This paper proposes a new three-dimensional chaotic flow with one stable equilibrium. Dynamical properties of this system are investigated. The system has a chaotic attractor coexisting with a stable equilibrium.
