ChemistryOpenFacile separation of Gd(III) from Sm(III) and La(III) is achieved using an emulsion liquid membrane with tributyl phosphate as extractant. Optimization by Box‐Behnken design reveals critical parameter interactions, enabling improved selectivity and efficiency, highlighting the potential of this approach for rare earth element purification.
