This study investigates the geometric and spatial image quality analysis of KOMPSAT-3A stereo pair. KOMPSAT-3A is, the latest satellite of KOMPSAT family, a Korean earth observation satellite operating in optical bands. A KOMPSAT-3A stereo pair was taken on 23 November, 2015 with 0.55 m ground sampling distance over Terrassa area of Spain.

Epipolar Resampling from Kompsat-2 and Kompsat-3
As of 2014, KARI (Korea Aerospace Research Institute) operates two high-resolution satellites such as Kompsat-2 and Kompsat-3. Kompsat-3 has capability of in-track stereo images acquisition but it is quite limited because the stereo mode lowers the spatial coverage in a trajectory.

Analysis of Geolocation Accuracy of KOMPSAT-3 Imagery
This paper reports the geolocation accuracy of KOMPSAT-3 imagery. KOMPSAT-3 was launched successfully on May 18, 2012 and has been released last March. In this paper, we have checked the geolocation accuracy of initial sensor model, precise sensor model and stereo-and multi-image model using four KOMPSAT-3 images covering the same area.

In this paper, we present design and implementation features and validation of KOMPSAT-2 simulator (SIM). The SIM is implemented on PC server to minimize costs and troubles on embedding onboard flight software into simulator. Object oriented design methodology is employed to maximized S/W reusability, and XML is used for S/C characteristics data, TC ...

Precise geometric modeling for KOMPSAT-1 satellite imagery
IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2003The geometric modeling for 3-D positioning was performed using the strip stereo images with the ancillary data of KOMPSAT-1. As a result, the satellite position vector offset was corrected by only one ground control point and the accuracy for the geometric modeling improved to 25.7 m RMSE.
