Evolution and universality of two-stage Kondo effect in single manganese phthalocyanine molecule transistors [PDF]
The Kondo effect can serve as a powerful paradigm to understand strongly correlated many-body processes in physics. Here, Guo et al. utilize single molecule transistor devices as a testbed to study multi-level Kondo correlation and show electrical gate ...

Kondo effect and superconductivity in niobium with iron impurities [PDF]
Kondo effect is an interesting phenomenon in quantum many-body physics. Niobium (Nb) is a conventional superconductor important for many superconducting device applications.

Electrical transport properties and Kondo effect in La 1− x Pr x NiO 3−δ thin films [PDF]
The Kondo effect has been a topic of intense study because of its significant contribution to the development of theories and understanding of strongly correlated electron systems. In this work, we show that the Kondo effect is at work in La1−x Pr x NiO3−

Multichannel Topological Kondo Effect
A Coulomb blockaded $M$-Majorana island coupled to normal metal leads realizes a novel type of Kondo effect where the effective impurity "spin" transforms under the orthogonal group $SO(M)$. The impurity spin stems from the non-local topological ground state degeneracy of the island and thus the effect is known as the topological Kondo effect.

Kondo effect and spin–orbit coupling in graphene quantum dots [PDF]
The Kondo effect has been observed in a variety of systems, including carbon nanotube quantum dots and graphene in the presence of impurities. Here, the authors report the observation of the Kondo effect in bilayer graphene quantum dots and study its ...

Signatures of the Kondo effect in VSe2. [PDF]
AbstractVSe2 is a transition metal dichaclogenide which has a charge- density wave transition that has been well studied. We report on a low-temperature upturn in the resistivity and, at temperatures below this resistivity minimum, an unusual magnetoresistance which is negative at low fields and positive at higher fields, in single crystals of VSe2 ...

The Kondo Effect in the Unitary Limit [PDF]
We observe a strong Kondo effect in a semiconductor quantum dot when a small magnetic field is applied. The Coulomb blockade for electron tunneling is overcome completely by the Kondo effect, and the conductance reaches the unitary limit value. We compare the experimental Kondo temperature with the theoretical predictions for the spin-½ Anderson ...

Nonequilibrium Kondo effect in a graphene-coupled quantum dot in the presence of a magnetic field [PDF]
Background: Quantum dots connected to larger systems containing a continuum of states like charge reservoirs allow the theoretical study of many-body effects such as the Coulomb blockade and the Kondo effect. Results: Here, we analyze the nonequilibrium ...

Kondo Effect of Magnetic Impurities in Nanotubes [PDF]
The effect of magnetic impurities on the ballistic conductance of nanocontacts is, as suggested in recent work, amenable to ab initio study \cite{naturemat}. Our method proceeds via a conventional density functional calculation of spin and symmetry dependent electron scattering phase shifts, followed by the subsequent numerical renormalization group ...
