Sarcomatoid Transformation of Pulmonary Mucinous Adenocarcinoma as a Mechanism of Immunotherapy Resistance

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 17, Issue 12, June 2026.
A patient with a pulmonary invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma (IMA) underwent a histological transformation into sarcomatoid carcinoma with multiple lymph node metastases following long‐term immunochemotherapy. BRAF D594G mutation was detected both at baseline and at the time of recurrence.

Axial length, myopia progression, and myopic maculopathy in Stickler syndrome

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, Volume 104, Issue 4, Page 423-430, June 2026.
Abstract Purpose We lack knowledge on the potentially progressive nature of and the prevalence of complications to myopia as a characteristic trait of Stickler syndrome. Methods This cross‐sectional study combines ophthalmic examination and medical record data on Danish patients with genetically confirmed Stickler syndrome type 1 (COL2A1) and type 2 ...

Risk Factors for Waiting List Mortality in Lung Transplant Candidates With Post‐Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Non‐Infectious Pulmonary Complications

open access: yesClinical Transplantation, Volume 40, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Late‐onset non‐infectious pulmonary complications (LONIPCs) following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) are a known indication for need of lung transplantation. This study aimed to clarify the clinical characteristics of patients with LONIPCs after HSCT who were registered for lung transplantation and reveal the risk ...

Cost of parasite exposure depends on host ontogeny 寄生接觸的代價依賴於宿主發育階段

open access: yesEcological Entomology, Volume 51, Issue 3, Page 592-603, June 2026.
The cost of parasite exposure varies across host developmental stages, demonstrating that ontogeny influences the expression of non‐consumptive effects (NCEs). Mite exposure resulted in consumptive effects in fly eggs and NCEs in early‐stage pupae; mite longevity was comparable when provisioned with pupae or water but increased when provisioned with ...

Social Drivers of Vocal Flexibility in Female Baboons

open access: yesEthology, Volume 132, Issue 6, Page 390-398, June 2026.
Female olive baboons selectively grunt when encountering females with dependent offspring. Grunting likelihood depends on rank differences and the strength of their social bond. This study adds to the evidence that nonhuman primates have evolved to use structurally‐inflexible vocalisations in population and context‐flexible ways.
