SUPER: Upcycling Genetic Parts for Precise Gene Expression Control, Leakage Minimization, and Genetic Circuit Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To precisely modulate natural and synthetic regulatory parts, SUPER is introduced as a sophisticated and tunable controller of genetic devices without requiring sequence modification on the target. SUPER enhances dynamic range of RNA‐, chemical‐, temperature‐, and protein‐responsive biosensors up to 1011%, and converts biosensors to cover an expanded ...

Magnetic and Crystal Symmetry Control on Spin Hall Conductivity in Altermagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Crystal structures and schematic illustrations of the spin Hall effect (SHE) in altermagnets. High‐symmetry RuO2 exhibits conventional SHE, while tilted RuO2 shows trivial unconventional SHE (USHE) caused by structural tilting. CrSb and MnTe, with reduced magnetic symmetry, display intrinsic USHE arising from symmetry‐driven spin–momentum locking ...

Hot Electron‐Assisted Noble‐Metal‐Free Synergistic Photothermal Catalyst for Solar‐Driven Wastewater Remediation and Microbial Disinfection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional Bi2Te3@CdS hybrid system is presented for solar‐driven wastewater remediation and indoor disinfection. The catalyst coated on PU foam efficiently harvests visible‐NIR light to generate heat and reactive oxygen species, enabling the rapid mineralization of organic pollutants.

Historical difference between traditional Korean medicine and traditional Chinese medicine

Neurological Research, 2007
Although traditional Korean medicine (TKM) has been influenced by traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), it has developed distinctive features. Around the tenth century, Chinese medical books were introduced to Korea. In those days, Koreans started movement to develop its own medical system. We reviewed Korean and Chinese medical literatures, and analysed ...

Traditional Korean medicine: now and the future

Neurological Research, 2007
The foundation of traditional Korean medicine (TKM) was originally set out in Korean mythology 5000 years ago. It has developed unique medical theories and methods to treat diseases including neurological disorders such as stroke, epilepsy and Parkinson's disease.Main components of TKM consist of medicinal treatment, acupuncture and Sasang ...
