Magnetoelastic and structural properties of azurite Cu3(CO3)2(OH)2 from neutron scattering and muon spin rotation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Azurite, Cu3(CO3)2(OH)2, has been considered an ideal example of a one-dimensional (1D) diamond chain antiferromagnet. Early studies of this material imply the presence of an ordered antiferromagnetic phase below $T_N \sim 1.9$ K while magnetization measurements have revealed a 1/3 magnetization plateau.

Packaging of disposable vaping products and e‐liquids in England, Canada and the United States: A content analysis

open access: yesAddiction, Volume 120, Issue 3, Page 483-495, March 2025.
Abstract Background and Aims Vaping product packaging is varied and often features bright colours and novel designs, particularly among recently marketed disposable vapes. This study provides an overview of attributes found on the packaging of popular disposable vapes and e‐liquid bottles in England, Canada and the United States (US) and assesses ...

KRASG12C‐inhibitor‐based combination therapies for pancreatic cancer: insights from drug screening

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 2, Page 295-310, February 2025.
Through unbiased drug screening experiments in the context of pancreatic cancer, we observed that KRASG12C inhibitors combine favorably with inhibitors of the tyrosine phosphatase SHP2, a broad‐acting kinase inhibitor, and inhibitors of the guanine nucleotide exchange factor SOS1.

Accurate Diagnosis of Lower Respiratory Infections Using Host Response and Respiratory Microbiome from a Single Metatranscriptome Test of Bronchoalveolar Lavage Fluid

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 6, February 10, 2025.
This study addresses the diagnostic challenges of lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs) by leveraging metatranscriptomic analysis of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. It efficiently detects a broad range of pathogens, while also identifying distinct host immune responses and microbial signatures associated with LRTIs.

Magnetic short and long range order in PbFe$_{1/2}$Ta$_{1/2}$O$_{3}$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
PbFe$_{1/2}$Ta$_{1/2}$O$_{3}$ (PFT) belongs to the family of PbB$'_{x}$B$"_{1-x}$O$_{3}$ which have inherent chemical disorder at the B-site. Due to this disorder, a complex magnetic phase diagram is expected in the material. In this paper, we report experimental results of magnetic properties in PFT through macroscopic characterization, neutron ...

The Economics of Liquid Staking Derivatives: Basis Determinants and Price Discovery

open access: yesJournal of Futures Markets, Volume 45, Issue 2, Page 91-117, February 2025.
ABSTRACT This paper provides a first economic analysis of liquid staking tokens, which are derivatives representing a share of staked tokens in Proof‐of‐Stake blockchains. We document substantial time‐variation in the “liquid staking basis” as given by the price difference between a derivative staking token and its underlying cryptocurrency.

Compositional Similarities and Distinctions between Titan's Evaporitic Terrains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We document the similarities in composition between the equatorial basins Tui Regio, Hotei Regio, and other 5-$\mu$m-bright materials, notably the north polar evaporites, by investigating the presence and extent of an absorption feature at 4.92 $\mu$m.

Kraken 3D - acquisition to interpretation on the edge of the Browse [PDF]

open access: yesASEG Extended Abstracts, 2016
The broadband Kraken 3D Marine Seismic Survey was acquired during 2013 in the outer Browse Basin exploration permit WA-314-P with the specific goal of assessing risk and volumes at the Elvie prospect. The survey was acquired over a highly rugose sea floor, comprised of deep slump canyons that overlie a steeply prograding Miocene carbonate sequence ...
