Kramers-Kronig relations for magnetoinductive waves

Physical Review B, 2019
Kramers-Kronig relations for propagating modes are a fundamental property of many but not all structures supporting wave propagation. While Kramers-Kronig relations for a transfer function of a causal system are always satisfied, it was discovered in the past that Kramers-Kronig relations for individual modes of a system may fail, e.g., in leaky ...

Relaxation-time distribution functions and the kramers-kronig relations

Physica, 1954
Synopsis A general proof is given that the real and imaginary parts of a network function representing a physically realizable network with a distribution of relaxation times satisfy the Kramers-Kronig relations. Conditions on the network function presented in the literature are shown by an example to be too stringent.

Kramers–Kronig relations in nonlinear optics

Applied Physics Letters, 1995
In the vicinity of the phase-matching angle of second-order nonlinear optical crystals, the fundamental light wave experiences an intensity-dependent phase shift which is connected with the effective attenuation due to second-harmonic generation. It is demonstrated that in the limit of weak pump depletion, the Kramers–Kronig relations can be used to ...

Validity Conditions for the Kramers-Kronig Relations

American Journal of Physics, 1964
The Kramers-Kronig relations are shown by elementary methods to be rigorously valid for linear, causal, stationary systems whose response functions obey simple conditions of boundedness.

Kramers-Kronig or Dispersion Relations in Acoustics

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1964
It is shown that one can find the radiation reactance if the radiation resistance is known at all frequencies, and vice versa.

Application of Kramers-Kronig relations to electric birefringence

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1989
When a liquid is simultaneously acted on by an alternating field E0 cos ωτ and a continuous field Ec, two complex Kerr constants B∗ω and B∗2ω appear. It is shown that real and imaginary parts of B∗ are rather complicated forms of cosine and sine Fourier-Laplace transforms, arising from two relaxation functions required for the description of the ...

The Kramers-Kronig-Relation of effective dielectric functions

Zeitschrift fr Physik B Condensed Matter, 1995
The Bergman formula is a general approach to describe the quasi-static effective dielectric function of two-phase composites. It can be used successfully to explain measured data. The existence of a Kramers-Kronig-Relation for an effective dielectric function obtained this way is a non-trivial problem and analysed in this article.
