Hybrid Bernstein Block‐Pulse Functions Method for Second Kind Integral Equations with Convergence Analysis

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
We introduce a new combination of Bernstein polynomials (BPs) and Block‐Pulse functions (BPFs) on the interval [0, 1]. These functions are suitable for finding an approximate solution of the second kind integral equation. We call this method Hybrid Bernstein Block‐Pulse Functions Method (HBBPFM).

Chebyshev Wavelets Method for Solution of Nonlinear Fractional Integrodifferential Equations in a Large Interval

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
An efficient Chebyshev wavelets method for solving a class of nonlinear fractional integrodifferential equations in a large interval is developed, and a new technique for computing nonlinear terms in such equations is proposed. Existence of a unique solution for such equations is proved.

Large Eddy Simulation of Turbulent Flow and Heat Transfer in a Ribbed Coolant Passage

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2012, Issue 1, 2012., 2012
Numerical simulations of hydrodynamic and thermally fully developed turbulent flow are presented for flow through a stationary duct with periodic array of inline transverse rib turbulators. The rib height to hydraulic diameter ratio (e/Dh) is 0.1 and the rib pitch to rib height ratio (P/e) is 10.

Fault‐Tolerant Robust Output‐Feedback Control of a Vehicle Platoon Considering Measurement Noise and Road Disturbances

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This study introduces a fault‐tolerant control framework for electric vehicle (EV) platooning, addressing challenges like vehicle heterogeneity, sensor noise, and actuator faults. By integrating fault estimation mechanisms with robust control strategies, the framework ensures reliable platoon performance under varying conditions.

Spatial Correlation and Ergodic Capacity of MIMO Channel in Reverberation Chamber

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, Volume 2012, Issue 1, 2012., 2012
It has previously been shown that a reverberation chamber can conveniently be used to measure ergodic multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) capacity for over‐the‐air (OTA) tests. However, the MIMO channel in the reverberation chamber has not been fully studied before.

Cloud‐based DMPC structure for velocity consensus and lane following of heterogeneous automated vehicles

open access: yesIET Control Theory &Applications, Volume 18, Issue 17, Page 2379-2389, November 2024.
This paper investigates the challenges associated with the velocity consensus and the lane following in heterogeneous automated vehicles considered as agents of a multi agent system. A cloud‐based distributed model predictive control structure is proposed to address the distributed intrinsic of such systems.

Simplicial Approach to Fractal Structures

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2012, Issue 1, 2012., 2012
A fractal lattice is defined by iterative maps on a simplex. In particular, Sierpinski gasket and von Koch flake are explicitly obtained by simplex transformations.

Shannon Wavelets for the Solution of Integrodifferential Equations

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2010, Issue 1, 2010., 2010
Shannon wavelets are used to define a method for the solution of integrodifferential equations. This method is based on (1) the Galerking method, (2) the Shannon wavelet representation, (3) the decorrelation of the generalized Shannon sampling theorem, and (4) the definition of connection coefficients.

Symmetry group analysis and invariant solutions of hydrodynamic‐type systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 10, Page 487-534, 2004., 2004
We study point and higher symmetries of systems of the hydrodynamic type with and without an explicit dependence on t, x. We consider such systems which satisfy the existence conditions for an infinite‐dimensional group of hydrodynamic symmetries which implies linearizing transformations for these systems.
