Insights Into Water Vapor Uptake by Dry Soils Using a Global Eddy Covariance Observation Network
Global Change Biology, Volume 31, Issue 10, October 2025.Using globally distributed flux tower data, we examined how soils adsorb water vapor from the atmosphere. We found that the direction of vapor exchange is closely linked to soil moisture and near‐surface humidity, consistent with soil–air equilibrium processes.
