Measurements of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) and chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are used to constrain the timescales for deep‐water renewal in Lake Issyk‐Kul. As these tracers have different tropospheric histories their combination provides more transport information than one tracer alone.

Comparative Effects of Bacterial and Yeast Fermentation on Nutritional & Bioactive Properties in Chickpea Protein Isolate

Fermentation of chickpea protein isolate (> 95% protein) with Kluyveromyces marxianus, Lactobacillus helveticus, and Bacillus subtilis for 48 h modified its nutritional and functional properties. Fermentation affected soluble protein content and protein profile, amino acid composition, anti‐nutritional factors, and bioactive properties.
