Anatomical and functional mapping of vagal nociceptive sensory nerve subsets innervating the mouse lower airways by intersectional genetics

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend We used an intersectional approach with recombinase‐expressing mice and adeno‐associated virus to map and modulate distinct nociceptive afferents in the vagal ganglia. TRPV1+P2X2+ neurons resided in the nodose ganglion (N), innervated the lungs (many projected into the alveoli) but not the trachea, and projected to the nucleus ...

The genus fields of Kummer function fields

open access: yesJournal of Number Theory, 2003
For an algebraic function field \(E/k\) over the rational function field \(k=\mathbb{F}_q (t) \) with finite \(\mathbb{F}_q \), the author gives a definition of its genus field \(G(E)\) in analogy to that for a number field \(E/\mathbb{Q}\), namely \(G(E)\) is the maximal abelian subextension of the Hilbert class field of \(E\) (i.e. maximal unramified

Bivariate Generalization of the Kummer-Beta Distribution Generalización Bivariada de la Distribución Kummer-Beta

open access: yesRevista Colombiana de Estadística, 2011
In this article, we study several properties such as marginal and conditional distributions, joint moments, and mixture representation of the bivariate generalization of the Kummer-Beta distribution.

Relativistic wave and Green's functions for hydrogen--like ions

open access: yes, 2008
The \textsc{Greens} library is presented which provides a set of C++ procedures for the computation of the (radial) Coulomb wave and Green's functions. Both, the nonrelativistic as well as relativistic representations of these functions are supported by ...

Screw‐Dislocation‐Engineered Quantum Dot: Geometry‐Tunable Nonlinear Optics, Orbital Qubit Addressability, and Torsion Metrology

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 538, Issue 2, February 2026.
A uniform torsion field—representing a controlled density of parallel screw dislocations—confines a single electron into a geometry‐defined quantum dot. In a perpendicular magnetic field, an Aharonov–Bohm flux breaks the m↔−m$m \leftrightarrow -m$ symmetry and yields a flux‐ and torsion‐tunable angular pseudospin (m=±1)$(m = \pm 1)$ with asymmetric ...

A New Extension of the τ-Gauss Hypergeometric Function and Its Associated Properties

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
In this article, we define an extended version of the Pochhammer symbol and then introduce the corresponding extension of the τ-Gauss hypergeometric function.

The versal deformation of small resolutions of conic bundles over P1×P1${\mathbb {P}}^1\times {\mathbb {P}}^1$ with two sections blown down

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Twistor spaces are certain compact complex three‐folds with an additional real fibre bundle structure. We focus here on twistor spaces over P2#P2#P2${\mathbb {P}}^2\#{\mathbb {P}}^2\#{\mathbb {P}}^2$. Such spaces are either small resolutions of double solids or they can be described as modifications of conic bundles.

A Kummer Congruence for the Hurwitz-Herglotz Function

open access: yesTokyo Journal of Mathematics, 1983
It is well-known that Bernoulli numbers have many interesting arithmetical properties such as the von Staudt-Clausen theorem, Kummer's congruences. They appear as coefficients of Taylor expansions of functions with a single period. Then Hurwitz and Herglotz defined and investigated ``Bernoulli numbers'' which are coefficients of Taylor expansions of ...

Toric amplitudes and universal adjoints

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract A toric amplitude is a rational function associated with a simplicial polyhedral fan. The definition is inspired by scattering amplitudes in particle physics. We prove algebraic properties of such amplitudes and study the geometry of their zero loci. These hypersurfaces play the role of Warren's adjoint via a dual volume interpretation.
