Stability of Twisted States in the Continuum Kuramoto Model [PDF]
We study a nonlocal diffusion equation approximating the dynamics of coupled phase oscillators on large graphs. Under appropriate assumptions, the model has a family of steady state solutions called twisted states. We prove a sufficient condition for stability of twisted states with respect to perturbations in the Sobolev and BV spaces.

Information Flow in Geophysical Systems
Abstract We present a new framework for analyzing the evolution of information in geophysical systems. Understanding how information, and its counterpart, uncertainty, propagates is central to predictability studies and has significant implications for applications such as forecast uncertainty quantification and risk management. It also offers valuable

Exponential Dephasing of Oscillators in the Kinetic Kuramoto Model [PDF]
We study the kinetic Kuramoto model for coupled oscillators with coupling constant below the synchronization threshold. We manage to prove that, for any analytic initial datum, if the interaction is small enough, the order parameter of the model vanishes exponentially fast, and the solution is asymptotically described by a free flow.

Cross‐context integration of single‐nucleus, spatial, bulk transcriptomic, and chromatin accessibility data from human fetal and adult infarcted hearts reveals that infarct‐zone cardiomyocytes re‐enter the cell cycle but show insufficient reactivation of late mitotic and cytokinesis execution programs, suggesting that incomplete cytokinesis ...

Clean Up Behind You ‐ Novel Patterning Approach for Solid Immersion Lenses
A focused ion beam (FIB) milling strategy enables rapid fabrication of solid immersion lenses (SILs) with smooth, debris‐free surfaces eliminating the need for post‐processing. The optimized pattern improves efficiency and surface quality. SILs containing NV centers are also investigated, confirming the technique's suitability for quantum and photonic ...

This study investigated the impact of two‐team surgery on short‐ and long‐term outcomes of transanal total mesorectal excision for rectal cancer. Two‐team surgery has some advantages over one‐team surgery, such as shorter operation time, decreased estimated blood loss, increased number of lymph nodes dissected, and decreased positive distal margin ...

A unified framework for simplicial Kuramoto models
Simplicial Kuramoto models have emerged as a diverse and intriguing class of models describing oscillators on simplices rather than nodes. In this paper, we present a unified framework to describe different variants of these models, categorized into three main groups: “simple” models, “Hodge-coupled” models, and “order-coupled” (Dirac) models.
