Abstract Effective climate adaptation benefits from detailed, actionable information on how specific extreme events are influenced by climate change. Here we present the first global, kilometer‐scale coupled modeling framework that enables counterfactual reconstructions of recent weather events, including extremes, in different climates.

Satellite remote-sensing data and glider data are used to study the Kuroshio meander and surface properties, east of Taiwan. The Kuroshio meandered eastward 13 times between 1993 and 2013 because of cold eddies propagating from the western Pacific.

Phloeosinus bark beetles may build up large populations in branch debris piles and stress giant sequoia trees. Covering debris piles with polyethylene sheeting increased the mean ambient temperature in piles and reduced beetle emergence. This was mediated by canopy structure, where ambient temperatures were further elevated under open canopies.

Hawksbill turtles in Korean waters: Occurrence records, tracking, and conservation considerations
In Korean waters, diverse efforts, including rescue, rehabilitation, and post‐release satellite tracking, has been conducted to conserve and restore hawksbill turtles. Hawksbill turtles showed three movement patterns and a potential migratory corridor linking Jeju Island to Hainan Island, southern China.
