2017Kyoto protokol je nastao na Trećoj Konferenciji stranaka UNFCCC-a 11. prosinca 1997. godine kojim industrijalizirane države svijeta postavljaju ciljeve smanjenja emisija stakleničkih plinova za 5% u razdoblju od 2008.-2012. godine u odnosu na baznu 1990. godinu. Svaka država ima cilj smanjenja emisija prema korištenju mehanizama Kyoto protokola.
