The muscid genus Drymeia Meigen, 1826 in Kyrgyzstan has been studied. One new species is described: Drymeia ziegleri sp. nov. An annotated checklist and keys for each sex of the six named species of Kyrgyzstan Drymeia are provided.

Genetic differentiation and adaptive evolution of buff‐tailed bumblebees in Asia
This study investigates the genetic differentiation and local adaptation of the buff‐tailed bumblebee (Bombus terrestris) across its European and Asian populations. Using whole‐genome resequencing, we identified distinct genetic differences between populations, with Asian B. terrestris representing a unique genetic resource.

Iron and zinc grain density in common wheat grown in Central Asia [PDF]
Sixty-six spring and winter common wheat genotypes from Central Asian breeding programs were evaluated for grain concentrations of iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn). Iron showed large variation among genotypes, ranging from 25 mg kg1 to 56 mg kg1 (mean 38 mg kg1).
