Cities Under Pressure: Evidence on Tourism Growth and Neighbourhood Change in Europe
Abstract Across European cities, the rapid growth of tourism is reshaping urban life in increasingly contested ways. While the sector continues to support local economies, it is also increasingly associated with the sense that neighbourhoods are becoming less liveable for residents.

The predatory behavior of ants: an impressive panoply of morphological adaptations
This review focuses on predation in ants, showing the wide diversity of cases from solitary foraging to group hunting tactics, as well as the evolution of mandible shape frequently adapted to capture specific prey. Although most ants are generalist feeders, finding their sugary substances directly on plants or indirectly via sap‐sucking insects, some ...

Effect of the microbiome on pathogen susceptibility across four Drosophilidae species
Four Drosophilidae species were used to investigate how variation in the host microbiome influences susceptibility to infection. Microbial composition and abundance differed among species and treatments. The effects of microbiome manipulation on host survival were both species‐ and pathogen‐specific.

Multi-criteria Scheduling in Parallel Environment with Learning Effect
This paper is devoted to the study of a multi-criteria scheduling problem on unrelated processors with machines’ learning effect, with the goal of minimizing makespan, machine cost and maximal flow-time simultaneously, which is an NP-hard problem.

ABSTRACT The transport sector is one of the largest contributors to global greenhouse gas emissions, making it a key priority for climate mitigation policies. In this context, renewable fuels represent a promising complementary pathway to transport electrification, particularly due to their compatibility with existing internal combustion engine ...
