Autogenous Lateral Saphenous Vein and Fascia Lata Grafts Used in the Repair of Ureteral Defects in Dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 3, May 2026.
Autologous grafts using lateral saphenous vein demonstrated effective ureteral reconstruction in canine cadavers, with shorter procedural times and fewer complications than fascia lata grafts. Leakage and handling issues limited the performance of fascia lata prostheses.

Transurethral urinary bladder eversion with vaginal prolapse of the urinary bladder in two entire female rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) and review of the literature

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, May 2026.
Abstract Two entire female dwarf rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus), aged 5 months and 10 years, were presented with a mass protruding from the vaginal opening. Cortical and Subcortical Signatures of Incentive Salience Attribution in Tobacco Use Disorder

open access: yesAddiction Biology, Volume 31, Issue 5, May 2026.
Using fMRI, we identified two neuroaffective profiles in daily cigarette smokers based on BOLD reactivity to cigarette‐related versus pleasant cues in the extended visual system. The sign‐tracker‐like profile (C > P) showed enhanced responses to cigarette cues in prefrontal and amygdala–hippocampal regions, along with weaker resting‐state ...

Dissecting the Spectrum of Rare BRAF Mutations in Melanoma: A Nation‐Wide Study by the Italian Melanoma Intergroup (IMI)

open access: yesPigment Cell &Melanoma Research, Volume 39, Issue 3, May 2026.
In a large multicentre Italian cohort (14,081 melanoma cases from 19 centres), rare BRAF mutations (~2%) showed survival and response to targeted therapy comparable to V600E/K. Functional modeling indicates that variants, particularly near codon 600, can induce constitutive activation, supporting expanded BRAF genotyping to identify additional patients
