Designing user‐centered technologies to address the illegal wildlife trade

This paper examines the role of technology in enhancing species identification for policing the illegal songbird trade in Indonesia. By employing a user‐centered design approach, the study integrates insights from law enforcement officers to develop a hypothetical automatic species identification app.

Southern Brazilian Grassland Diversity: Anti‐Disturbance Regimes Are Not Ideal and Grazing Maintains Plant Diversity

Long‐term grazing management strongly shapes grassland plant diversity and composition in southern Brazil. After 12 years of experimental management, grazing exclusion led to taller vegetation and lower diversity, while continuous and deferred grazing maintained higher diversity and balanced life‐form composition.

Diet‐dependent reproductive investment in gumleaf skeletonizer moths, Uraba lugens

We provided larvae of the gum leaf skeletoniser moth Uraba lugens with host plant diets that differed in foliage carbon and nitrogen content. Diet influences female and male adult traits differently, affecting female body size, male longevity and antennal micromorphology, but not the attractiveness of female sex pheromones to males.
