Multi-signal Compressed Sensing For Polarimetric SAR Tomography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In recent years, three-dimensional imaging by means of SAR tomography has become a field of intensive research. In SAR tomography, the vertical reflectivity function for every azimuth-range pixel is usually recovered by processing data collected using a ...

Rubber‐Glass‐Crystal Triple Phase Transition in Polyacrylamide Hydrogels and Environment‐Adaptive Shape Memory Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
By analyzing the thermal‐mechanical properties and molecular‐scale interactions in polyacrylamide (PAAM) hydrogels, this research demonstrates a rubber‐glass‐crystal phase transition under the combined stimuli of temperature and moisture. Because of these hybrid phase transitions, PAAM hydrogels exhibit shape memory behavior in thermal and moist ...

Advantages of High-Temporal L-Band SAR Observations for Estimating Active Landslide Dynamics: A Case Study of the Kounai Landslide in Sobetsu Town, Hokkaido, Japan

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Estimating landslide dynamics is vital for the prevention of landslide disasters. Differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar (DInSAR) based on L-band SAR satellites is an effective tool for estimating the dynamics of forested landslides that ...

EMISAR: C- and L-band polarimetric and interferometric SAR [PDF]

open access: yesIGARSS '96. 1996 International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2005
EMISAR is a C- and L-band fully polarimetric (i.e. 4 complex channel per frequency) synthetic aperture radar designed for remote sensing with high demands for resolution (2 m), polarization discrimination, and absolute radiometric and polarimetric calibration.

Flexible Pressure Sensor With Co‐Optimized Sensitivity and Linearity Based on Gradient Toroidal Microstructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A flexible piezoresistive pressure sensor with gradient toroidal CNT/PDMS microstructures is reported. The hierarchical geometry enables sequential electrode contact, achieving a sensitivity of 256.20 kPa−1 and linear response (R2 = 0.99) over 0–1000 kPa.

Coherent Absorption Reveals Colors Hidden in a Grey Fabry–Pérot Cavity

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A dielectric thin film shows colors depending on its thickness; this effect can be used to encode information normally accessible through single‐beam spectroscopy. We developed a method to conceal this kind of information, based on coating the dielectric with a matched conductor, that suppresses the color‐bearing thin‐film resonances.
