Intraoperative Collection of Ascitic Fluid With Intra‐ or Postoperative Reinfusion in Ovarian Cancer: Safety and Feasibility of a Roller Pumping Method

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

All loop scattering for all multiplicity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the recently introduced curve integral formalism that defines a new family of formulas for the scattering amplitudes of the colored scalar trϕ 3 theory. We find that the curve integral manifests a very surprising fact about these amplitudes: the

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

A Lagrange method based L-curve for image restoration

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2013
The solution of image restoration problems usually requires the use of regularization strategies. The L-curve criterium is a popular heuristic tool for choosing good regularized solutions, when the data noise norm is not a priori known. In this work, we propose replacing the original image restoration problem with a noise-independent equality ...

Modern regularization techniques for inverse modelling: a comparative study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Regularization techniques are used for computing stable solutions to ill-posed problems. The well-known form of regularization is that of Tikhonov in which the regularized solution is searched as a minimiser of the weighted combination of the residual ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Limit theorems for twists of L-functions of elliptic curves. II

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2012
In the paper, a limit theorem for the argument of twisted with Dirichlet character L-functions of elliptic curves with an increasing modulus of the character is proved.

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...
