Hardy-type inequalities for lp sequences [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
We establish three Hardy-type inequalities in which the arithmetic means of a sequence of non-negative real numbers are replaced by the weighted means over nested subsets of the sequence.

Biphasic Clinical Course of Pediatric Cytomegalovirus‐Associated Immune Thrombocytopenia: Early Poor Treatment Response but Favorable Long‐Term Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a recognized trigger of immune thrombocytopenia (ITP); however, its incidence and impact on disease course in children remain controversial. Therefore, we aimed to characterize the clinical course of pediatric patients with CMV‐associated ITP.

Bone Mineral Density After Contemporary Treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia: A Matched Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Reduced bone mineral density (BMD) has been reported in survivors of childhood and young adult acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL); however, data from cohorts treated with contemporary protocols and including matched controls remain limited.

The L-type channel antagonist isradipine is neuroprotective in a mouse model of Parkinson’s disease

open access: yesNeurobiology of Disease, 2011
The motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease (PD) are due to the progressive loss of dopamine (DA) neurons in substantia nigra pars compacta (SNc).

Chemotherapy for Spinal Cord Intramedullary Pediatric Low‐Grade Glioma—A Systematic Literature Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric intramedullary low‐grade gliomas (PIMLGGs) are rare neoplasms that present unique clinical and management challenges. Although surgery remains the primary tool for tissue diagnosis and decompression, complete gross‐total resection is frequently unfeasible due to the infiltrative nature of these lesions.

Phosphodiesterase 4B in the cardiac L-type Ca²⁺ channel complex regulates Ca²⁺ current and protects against ventricular arrhythmias in mice.

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Investigation, 2011
β-Adrenergic receptors (β-ARs) enhance cardiac contractility by increasing cAMP levels and activating PKA. PKA increases Ca²⁺-induced Ca²⁺ release via phosphorylation of L-type Ca²⁺ channels (LTCCs) and ryanodine receptor 2.
