Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2015L-tryptophan L-tryptophanium chloride is a new salt with (A⋯A(+)) type dimeric cation. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system (space group P2(1), Z=2). The asymmetric unit contains one zwitterionic L-tryptophan molecule, one L-tryptophanium cation and one chloride anion.

Journal of Structural ChemistryIn the system l-cysteine-H3PO3-H2O, a new salt with a dimeric cation, (l-CysH···l-Cys)(H2PO3), has been obtained. The compound exhibits incongruent solubility and is synthesized using an equimolar ratio of l-cysteine and phosphorous acid. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P212121.
