Atomic and micromagnetic aspects of L10 magnetism

open access: yesScripta Materialia, 2005
Atomic and continuum effects in L1 0 magnets are investigated. Emphasis is on the competition between ferromagnetism, antiferromagnetism, and noncollinear order in both perfect and imperfect struc- tures, and on the temperature dependence of the magnetic anisotropy.

A Novel Topical Emollient Plus for Canine Atopic Dermatitis: A Clinical Trial Assessing Efficacy and User Acceptance

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, EarlyView.
Background: Canine atopic dermatitis (cAD) is a common, chronic skin condition characterised by epidermal barrier dysfunction, immune dysregulation and cutaneous dysbiosis. While “emollient plus” formulations are widely used in human atopic dermatitis, their role in cAD remains underexplored. Hypothesis/Objectives: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and

Enhancement of L10 ordering with the c-axis perpendicular to the substrate in FePt alloy film by using an epitaxial cap-layer

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
FePt alloy thin films with cap-layers of MgO or C are prepared on MgO(001) single-crystal substrates by using a two-step method consisting of low-temperature deposition at 200 °C followed by high-temperature annealing at 600 °C.

Efficacy of Der f 2/Zen 1‐LAMP1 Plasmid‐Based Vaccine Immunotherapy in Dogs With Atopic Dermatitis: A Proof‐of‐Concept Study

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, EarlyView.
Background: DNA‐based vaccination rapidly induces strong cellular and humoral immune responses, which may be enhanced by inclusion of lysosomal‐associated membrane protein‐1 (LAMP). Objectives: This proof‐of‐concept study evaluated the efficacy and safety of a Der f 2/Zen 1‐LAMP‐based DNA vaccine immunotherapy in client‐owned dogs with nonseasonal AD ...

Effects of feeding whole linseed on ruminal fatty acid composition and microbial population in goats

open access: yesAnimal Nutrition, 2016
The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effect of feeding different levels of whole linseed, as a source of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), on ruminal fatty acid composition and microbial population in the goat.

Randomised, Double‐Blinded, Placebo‐Controlled Challenge Test With Single Food Items in Dogs With Atopic Dermatitis and Adverse Food Reactions

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Identification of offending foods in dogs with adverse food reactions is usually based on “deterioration” during open food challenges. Objectives To examine the placebo effect during double‐blinded, placebo‐controlled food challenges using a predefined set of criteria for relapse.

Structural determinants of re‐entrant drivers in atrial fibrillation: insights from digital twins derived from 3D micrometre‐resolution imaging of human heart

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Digital heart models of human donor atria with cardiac co‐morbidities revealed that regions with AWT variation, aligned myofibres adjacent to disorganised zones and fibrotic borders promoted the localisation and stability of RDs. AWT had a global influence, whereas fibre orientation and fibrosis exerted chamber‐specific regional ...
