Anti‐biofilm potential of kefir‐derived Lactobacillus paracasei L10 against Vibrio parahaemolyticus

Letters in Applied Microbiology, 2021
Vibrio parahaemolyticus, a kind of biofilm‐forming foodborne bacterium, presents formidable challenges to the effectiveness of antimicrobial agents. Increasingly, the safety of chemical antimicrobials has aroused the widespread attention of the public ...

Epitaxial growth of L10-FePt/MgO/L10-FePt (001) trilayer structures

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2007
Abstract Epitaxial growth of L1 0 -FePt/MgO/L1 0 -FePt (0 0 1) trilayer structures on an Au (0 0 1) monocrystalline buffer layer was investigated. By post-annealing at 500 °C, flat Au (0 0 1) buffer layers with roughness of Ra∼0.1 nm were obtained on a 10-nm-thick Fe (0 0 1) seed layer. Despite a large lattice mismatch between L1 0 -FePt and MgO (∼10%

Hadashot Arkheologiyot - Excavations and Surveys in Israel, 2023
In May 2020, a trial excavation was conducted in Khan Jaljuliya (Permit No. A-8720; map ref. 195278–347/673424–83; Fig. 1), prior to conservation works. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by Jaljuliya Local Council, was directed by M. Hater, with the assistance of Y. Amrani (administration), S.

Design and magnetic properties of L10–FePt/Fe and L10–FePt exchange coupled graded nanodots

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2015
Abstract The magnetic properties and reversal process of L 1 0 –FePt/Fe and L 1 0 –FePt exchange coupled graded nanodots were investigated using the object-oriented micromagnetic framework (OOMMF). It is indicated that the increase in anisotropy gradient span of L 1 0 –FePt section is favorable for the reduction in coercivity for L 1 0 –FePt/Fe ...

Sub‐6 nm Fully Ordered L10‐Pt–Ni–Co Nanoparticles Enhance Oxygen Reduction via Co Doping Induced Ferromagnetism Enhancement and Optimized Surface Strain

Advanced Energy Materials, 2019
Engineering the crystal structure of Pt–M (M = transition metal) nanoalloys to chemically ordered ones has drawn increasing attention in oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) electrocatalysis due to their high resistance against M etching in acid.

L10 rare-earth-free permanent magnets: The effects of twinning versus dislocations in Mn-Al magnets

, 2020
Defects of various kinds play a crucial role on coercivity in rare-earth-free permanent magnetic alloys with L10 structure. In this work, the negative effect of twin structure and the positive effect of dislocations on the coercivity are clarified in a ...

Structural studies of L10 FePt nanoparticles

Applied Physics Letters, 2002
We have studied the lattice parameter changes of L10 FePt nanoparticles annealed to near equilibrium as a function of composition by x-ray diffraction. We have found that the (111) diffraction peak shifts linearly with composition, however, the c parameter mostly changes in the Pt rich compositions and the a parameter mostly changes in the Fe rich ...

Nanoporous L10-FePt with high coercivity

Scripta Materialia, 2019
Abstract We demonstrate the synthesis of a novel nanoporous ordered face-centered tetragonal FePt (L10-FePt) compound by selective dissolution of an Fe60Pt10B30 nanocomposite alloy, which consists of nanoscale L10-FePt and Fe2B phases. The Fe2B phase is selectively removed from the alloy by electrochemical etching in H2SO4 aqueous solution, while the
