The Late Iron Age in northern Croatia was marked by two communities, the Scordisci, settled in eastern Slavonia as the western part of their territory, and the Taurisci, who inhabited north-western Croatia as the eastern area of their settlement, while they had their centre in the ore-rich area of southeast Alps.
