Eco-friendly electrochemical lab-on-paper for heavy metal detection
Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2015A disposable electrochemical lateral flow paper-based sensing device for heavy metal detection is proposed. The quantification of lead and cadmium in aqueous samples is demonstrated in a range from 10 to 100 ppb with a limit of detection of 7 and 11 ppb respectively. Moreover, the platform itself, which is made of paper, served as a sample pretreatment

Lab on paper chip integrated with Si@GNRs for electroanalysis of diazepam.
Analytica Chimica Acta, 2017We describe herein the fabrication of an electrochemical microfluidic paper based device (EμPAD) for the detection of diazepam, a sedative, anxiety-relieving and muscle-relaxing drug. To achieve it, silica coated gold nanorods (Si@GNRs) were synthesized and drop casted on an electrochemical microfluidic paper based device (EμPAD) for the detection of ...

Lab-on-paper: fusion with foil and inkjet printing
SPIE Proceedings, 2017In this paper, we demonstrate a combination of foil and InkJet printed structures in Lab-on-Paper device. Such a device can be used to analyze a concentration of salt in water (or any other substance) by measuring the impedance of the analyte. Lab-on-Paper can perform an analysis on a microscopic volume of substances.

Digitalisation of Energy: An Energy Futures Lab Briefing Paper [PDF]
Digital technology has the potential to radically reshape the way we generate, trade and consume energy. Over the past decade, the incorporation of information and communications technology into the energy system has emerged as a significant driver of change in the sector but the pace and scale of that change is likely to increase dramatically over the

Lab-on-paper-based devices using chemiluminescence and electrogenerated chemiluminescence detection
Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2014As an analytical support, paper, being low cost, highly abundant, of high porosity, disposable or biodegradable, and easy to use, store, transport, and print, has excellent chemical compatibility with many applications. Since the first microfluidic paper-based analytical device (μ-PAD or lab-on-paper) was proposed, the paper-based assay has never ...

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2015
In this work, a new molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) based lab-on-paper device with chemiluminescence (CL) detection of dichlorvos (DDV) was designed. With the circle-shaped device, the MIP layer with certain depth was synthesized and adsorbed on the paper surface and DDV can be selectively imprinted on it.

Application of curcumin nanoparticles in a lab-on-paper device as a simple and green pH probe.
Talanta, 2015This article describes the design and fabrication of a novel lab-on-paper device for pH sensing using curcumin nanoparticles (CURNs). In order to fabricate the lab-on-paper, the wax dipping method was used. The color of loaded paper with CURNs changed from yellow to orange and red to brown in the pH range of 7-13.
