Active Learning‐Driven Discovery of Sub‐2 Nm High‐Entropy Nanocatalysts for Alkaline Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐entropy nanoparticles (HENPs) hold great promise for electrocatalysis, yet optimizing their compositions remains challenging. This study employs active learning and Bayesian Optimization to accelerate the discovery of octonary HENPs for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions.

Modelling and predicting labor force productivity [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
Labor productivity in Turkey, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, and New Zealand has been analyzed and modeled. These counties extend the previously analyzed set of the US, UK, Japan, France, Italy, and Canada. Modelling is based on the link between the rate of labor participation and real GDP per capita.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

The Turing Valley: How AI Capabilities Shape Labor Income [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Do improvements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) benefit workers? We study how AI capabilities influence labor income in a competitive economy where production requires multidimensional knowledge, and firms organize production by matching humans and AI-powered machines in hierarchies designed to use knowledge efficiently. We show that advancements in AI

Agency-Driven Labor Theory: A Framework for Understanding Human Work in the AI Age [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This paper introduces Agency-Driven Labor Theory as a new theoretical framework for understanding human work in AI-augmented environments. While traditional labor theories have focused primarily on task execution and labor time, ADLT proposes that human labor value is increasingly derived from agency - the capacity to make informed judgments, provide ...
