Genetic Surfaceome E. coli Reprogramming Enables Selective Water Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel enzymatic material based on bilirubin oxidase (BOD) surface‐expressed on E. coli for effective electrocatalysis is reported. With this material, highly efficient and selective water oxidation is achieved, a critical half reaction for synthetic photosynthesis. Abstract Programming catalytic behavior at the microbial genome level is a frontier in

Virus Enhanced Microrobots for Biofilm Eradication

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Biofilms resist antimicrobials across medicine, industry, and environments. We present virus‐conjugated microrobots synthesized hydrothermally and magnetically actuated. Their motion and viral specificity enable targeted binding, penetration, and delivery, outperforming bare microrobots.

Waste‐Free Closed‐Loop‐Recyclable and Thermally Superinsulating Polyimide Aerogels Utilizing Diels‐Alder Chemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A synthetic protocol for thermally recyclable poly(amide‐imide) aerogels based on Diels–Alder chemistry is presented. Prepared from furan‐modified poly(amide‐imide) and bismaleimide, these aerogels offer thermal superinsulation and excellent thermo‐mechanical performance.
