This study analyses the uncertainty and variability existing in the economic performance of polylactic acid (PLA) production, via integrating techno‐economic analysis with process models and Monte Carlo simulation enabled by artificial intelligence. Eight wild plant species were investigated as co‐substrates for pellet combustion. A long‐term field trial examined dry matter yield and biochemical composition, influencing combustion properties. Results show suitable combustion properties, comparable to Sida, with higher ash melting temperatures than Miscanthus, due to elevated calcium and magnesium.

This study investigates how donor age and cold ischemia time influence liver perfusion parameters and injury markers. Older livers are more susceptible to longer ischemia times displaying more tissue damage, and higher expression of oxidative stress and apoptosis‐related proteins than livers with shorter ischemia times.
