Microfluidic Platform for Multiparametric Profiling of Fibrin Permeability, Fibrinolysis, and Cell Invasion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This paper introduces a single‐channel H‐junction microfluidic assay that profiles fibrin's evolving function in repair and thrombosis by measuring, in one ∼3 µL gel, permeability, fibrinolysis kinetics, fibroblast invasion, and clot extension in real time.

An Appraisal of Labor Augmentation: An Update on Current Evidence and Practice

open access: yesMaternal-Fetal Medicine
. Augmentation of labor remains the cornerstone of intrapartum care, typically employed to expedite delivery by enhancing the frequency, strength, and duration of uterine contractions. The decision to augment depends on the stage of labor and the woman’s

Parallel 3D Bioprinting on SLIPS‐Microarrays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces the first truly parallel 3D bioprinting method, enabling both the simultaneous fabrication of hundreds of cell laden hydrogel 3D structures and their HTS in individual liquid compartments. By integrating Digital Light Processing (DLP) stereolithography with functional micropatterns, the platform decouples printing time from array ...

Near ground level sensing for spatial analysis of vegetation [PDF]

open access: yes
Measured changes in vegetation indicate the dynamics of ecological processes and can identify the impacts from disturbances. Traditional methods of vegetation analysis tend to be slow because they are labor intensive; as a result, these methods are often

BACH, a Bayesian Optimization Protocol for Accurate Coarse‐Grained Parameterization of Organic Liquids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a fully automated Bayesian optimization (BO) protocol for the parameterization of nonbonded interactions in coarse‐grain CG force fields (BACH). Using experimental thermophysical data, we apply the protocol to a broad range of liquids, spanning linear, branched, and unsaturated hydrocarbons, esters, triglycerides, and water.
