How does leaf age affect performance? A comparative study of essential oils from young and mature Eucalyptus globulus leaves in crop protection

Leaf age influences metabolomic profiling but not bioactivity of Eucalyptus globulus essential oils. Leaf age affects volatile levels of young and adult E. globulus oils, but not their bioactivity. Young leaf essential oil had higher contents of α‐ and β‐pinene. AEEO had higher levels of 1,8‐cineole and trans‐pinocarveol.

17‐epi‐Melianodiol, a new protolimonoid from Melia azedarach fruits, exhibits larvicidal activity and is associated with oxidative imbalance and midgut epithelial damage in Aedes aegypti larvae

The bio‐guided phytochemical study resulted in the new compound 17‐epi‐melianodiol. The compound eliminated 100% of Aedes aegypti larvae at 100 ppm, causing pronounced morphological changes, cuticular damage, and extensive vacuolization. Mechanistic Insight into H2S‐Induced Fluorescence Quenching in a Robust Metal–Organic Framework

An ultramicroporous Zn‐based metal‐organic framework, MFM‐520, enables reversible hydrogen sulfide adsorption and selective fluorescence sensing. Confinement of H2S within the pores perturbs ligand‐centered excited states through weak host‐guest interactions, enhancing non‐radiative decay pathways.

Application of Ag‐Enriched Nanostructures Through Ga+ Irradiation of Silver Butyrate Films in Surface‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS)
